Merry A. Hillman, 92, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Tuesday evening, January 26, 2016 in her daughter's home.

She was born, December 25, 1923 in Steuben, Ohio, to the late Stephen H. and Irene T. (Shire) Robinson, and was a lifelong area resident.

Merry was a member of the Norwalk First Presbyterian Church where she was a former deacon of the Evangelism committee, was a member of the communion guild, and lived her life for the Lord. She retired from Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital as an L.P.N. in 1984, and was a home health nurse after her retirement. Merry was a member of the Retirees Club of Norwalk, and enjoyed sewing, gardening, square dancing, playing cards, and watching sports. Merry especially enjoyed traveling for long visits with her children and grandchildren for the last 10 years.

Merry is survived by her loving children, Terry G. and Clare Hillman of Phoenix, Arizona, Marsha and Darryl Godtfredsen of Palm Coast, Florida, Jann E. Hillman of Dallas, Georgia, and Iris E. Riley of Norwalk, Ohio, and by her grandchildren, Shawn and Jamie Hillman and their children, Lily and Gavin, Allissa Hillman and Tait Johnson and their child, Finn, Randy and Tara Ariola and their children, Aviann and Luca, Kent and Andrea Graff and their children, Alex, Haley, and Carrie, and Jay Myers and his daughters.

She is also survived by her brother, Shire H. Robinson of Ashland, Ohio, and by her sister, Frances I. Flock of Amherst, Ohio.

Merry was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Hillman, by her son, Joseph Jr. in 1966, by her brother, Virgil Robinson, by her sister, Clarabelle Herrington, and by her son in law, Timothy Riley in 2014.

There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, 21 Firelands Blvd., Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Adrian Doll will officiate. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, Ohio.
