Benoit E. Boissoneault Jr., 87, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday morning, January 28, 2016 at Ohio Veteran's Home.
Benoit was born on June 17, 1928 in Montague, MA to the late Benoit Sr. and Anna (Thompson) Boissoneault.
Benoit graduated from Mary E. Wells High School in 1946. He was a Veteran of the Army who proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. He was a salesman for Buckeye Biscuit for 35 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, bowling in his Elks League, doing yard work, watching Cleveland Sports, spending time with his family, grandchildren and his dog.
Benoit is survived by his wife, Jeanine (Emmerick) Boissoneault. He is also survived by his sons, Scott and Bruce Boissoneault; grandchildren, Bobbie Jo, Bruce, Danialle and Meghan; sister, Carol Faggionato and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Benoit is preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Kruchusky and June Boissoneault.
Friends may call on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 1:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 1:30 pm at the Ohio Veterans Home Chapel, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky with Rev. Paul Birmingham and Pastor David Flack of the Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene presiding. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
