Marilyn G. Smith, 86, of 421 Dewey St., Sandusky, passed away in her home with her loving family by her side on Saturday, January 30, 2016 after an illness.
She was born on November 27, 1929 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Samuel H. Tillapaw and the late Elsie (Nitschke) Tillapaw. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1948 and was a homemaker.
Marilyn was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sandusky. She enjoyed baking, movies, and going to casinos. She also loved to make rag rugs on a loom. But most important to Marilyn was her family. She would do anything for them and she absolutely adored her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynnda L. (husband, Dan) Riedy; granddaughter, Renee L. Moore; great-grandchildren, Isaiah S. Jackson and Nasin M. Lash; sister, Sharon Guhn; and best friend, Leonard "Boots" Crawford.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Ferrel; second husband, Glenn Smith; sisters, Betty Mehlow and June Emery; and brothers, John, Jim, Keith, and Bobby Tillapaw.
Friends may call on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 5-7 P.M. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Ralph Schibler officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
