Gladys (Jude) Cook, 67, residing in Sandusky, passed away Sunday evening, January 31, 2016 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Gladys was born on February 12, 1948 in Warfield, KY to the late Curtis and Shirley (McCoy) Jude.
Gladys was employed at the Ohio Veterans Home as a food service worker for 16 years before retiring in 1984. Gladys was a member of the United Baptist Church in Columbus. She was a past member and leader of 4-H. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, collecting dolls, going out to eat and she loved spending time with her family.
Gladys is survived by her husband, Ellis Cook whom married on July 5, 1963. She is also survived by her daughters, Loretta (Scott) Jones and Peteresa (Jesse Saxon) Cook; son, Gregory (Betty) Cook; grandchildren, Erika, Scott, Aaron, Matthew, Karalena, Christopher and Jonothon; 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Curtis "Jack" (Judith) Jude numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Friends may call on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Second Chance Chapel, 5412 Schenk Rd., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held at the church on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 am with Pastor Curtis "Jack" Jude and Scott Alan Jones Jr. presiding. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
