James "Jimmy Ray" Braden, age 59, of Vickery, died Monday morning, February 8, 2016, at his residence, following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 11, 1956, in Norwalk, and served in the U.S. Navy.
He was truck driver for many years and went by the handle "Cowboy". James loved spending time with his family and grandkids and enjoyed playing dartball and pool.
He is survived by his daughter Heather (Kurt Steel) Braden; three grandchildren Aaliyah, Kurt Jr., and Kaelynn Steel; sister Sherri (Nicolas Santoya) Butts; and many nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Betty (Williams) Braden; and brother Terry Braden.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016, from 6 - 8 PM at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.
