Gentle R. “Tim” Philon, 60, Sandusky, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born on April 22, 1951 in Gilberttown, Alabama.
He was employed by the former Barr Rubber and Lake Erie Fabricating as a welder.
He is survived by his mother, Thelma Philon, Sandusky; children, Timothy D. Philon, Fostoria, OH, Nicolas Philon, Green Bay, WI, and Latonya Philon, Milwaukee, WI; eight grandchildren; brothers, Charles Philon, Rickey Philon and Kenneth (Robin) Philon, all of Sandusky, sister, Barbara “Arlene” Caffey, Sandusky; half brother, Edward G. Philon, Alabama; aunt, Annie Everett; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friend, Lawrence Jordan, other friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gentle Philon Sr.; daughter, Nicole Philon; sister, Thelma “Jean” Davis; niece, Latoya Taylor; several aunts and uncles.
Friends may call on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 1 P.M. in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Rev. Keith Fuller will officiate.
