Robert D. Sharp, 64, of Vickery, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, February 22, 2016 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Robert was born on January 10, 1952 in Weeksbury, KY to the late Donald C. and Kathleen D. (Dale) Sharp.
Robert was a graduate of Bowling Green State University where he received his degree in education and a masters degree in rehabilitation. Robert also received a masters in education from Xavier University. He retired from Withrow High School in Cincinnati, OH, where he taught vocational education as well as coached the varsity football team. Robert was a member of the Cincinnati Shriners and Masonic Lodge. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Robert is survived by his sister, Kathy Guggisberg of Vickery; nephew, Bruce Gerke of Vicerky whom he raised as his own son; brother, Donald E. (Sue) Sharp of Beavercreek, OH and many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his brother in law, Raymond "Rocky" Guggisberg.
There will be no visitation or service. Private family services will be held at a later date. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
