Paul E. Douglas

Paul E. Douglas, 77, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016, in Norwalk Memorial Home.

He was born September 18, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Ernest R. and Esther M. (Miesse) Douglas, and came to this area in 1977.

Paul was a former Vice President of Finance at Fisher-Titus Medical Center retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Norwalk Area Health Systems, the Board of Directors of the Bellevue Hospital, was a member of the Shakespeare Club of Norwalk, Ohio, the Norwalk Organ Club, Norwalk Rotary Club, The Endowment Fund of Norwalk City Schools, Board of Trustees, Norwalk City School Board of Education, Ehove Career Center Board of Education, Stein Hospice Board of Trustees, and Firelands Rails to Trails. Paul earned a Master's Degree in Accounting and Finance, from Xavier University. He enjoyed his model trains, and volunteered at the Naples Lionel Train Museum in Naples, Florida. Paul enjoyed spending time with his close friends and family, but especially loved spending time with Pat in Naples, Florida.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Fink) Douglas of Norwalk, Ohio, by his children, Stephen D. (Beth) Douglas of West Chester, Ohio, and Christopher A. (Jennifer)Douglas of Memphis, Tennessee, by his step-daughter, Becky (Todd) Ducat, of Killingly, Connecticut, and by six grandchildren.

Paul is also survived by his brother, Dr. Stephen A. (Dr. Ellen Kay) Douglas of Columbus, Ohio, and by his sister-in-law, Linda Douglas, of Granville, Ohio, and by several nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his first wife, Carole A. Douglas in 2006 and by his brother Dr. Daniel C. Douglas.

Friends may call on Sunday, March 6, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, Ohio. Memorial Service will be held on March 7, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 87 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, Rev. Margaret D'Anieri, and Rev. Adrian Doll will officiate. Inurnment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery.
