Marvin (Marv) E. Bolen. Heaven received another angel when Marv joined his Master on Friday March 18, 2016 after a lengthy illness. He was surrounded by loved ones at Cleveland Clinic gently holding his hands until his soul soared onward.

Marv arrived on earth September 3, 1960 at Willard Memorial Hospital to meet a delighted family who loved him all his days. He was a lifelong resident of Norwalk, Ohio.

Marv retired early after many years in the automotive parts industry. He had also attended Terra Tech Community College, and owned his own satellite installation business in addition to several years as an employment specialist, assisting individuals with special needs secure employment.

Marv was a dedicated sports and car fan. He played several positions for the Norwalk Truckers during high school, and restored several classic muscle cars, which he enjoyed driving in the area as well as participating at events at Norwalk / Summit Raceway. Marv enjoyed various types of sports including ice hockey, ice skating, and weekly football games with his friends throughout his youth. He played basket ball, baseball, and softball for various local teams, and most recently played on a church league team for Adoration Assembly of God. Marv was a true sports fan of the Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers as well as the Truckers, and OSU football.
Marv had a great sense of humor that would light up a room. He would have people laughing with his singing impressions, jokes, and pranks. He would laugh at the many fun things he and his friends did as kids, including shooting movies and riding their bikes all over the Norwalk area.

Marv enjoyed traveling with his wife Barbara, and they very rarely used a map to add to the adventure. Marv was always ready to lend a hand to others, and was proud of his life-long friends and their closeness.

Predeceasing Marv were his parents, Boyd and Pansy (Lykins) Bolen, his brother, Donald James Bolen, grandparents, Enoch and Sara (Tracy) Bolen, and Warren and Martha (Sebastian) Lykins, by his niece, Allison Clark, and by his in-laws, John and Sara Brown.

Marv is survived by his wife and best friend Barbara (Brown) Bolen. His lifelong prank pal and sister Susan Bolen-Fischer (Wayne) of Vermilion, sister-in-law, Kim Decker, sister-in-law, Sherri Bolen, nieces, Joy (Reverend John) Coleman, Andrea Fischer Prieto, Candie Fischer (Dave) Volek, and Brandy Fischer Konery, and by his nephews, Michael (Melissa) Bolen, and Steve Decker. He was best buds with his grandnephew Jordan Prieto for 21 years, and proud grand uncle of Joseph, Michael, Jessie and Matt Coleman, Taylor and Taryn Bolen and Kylie Volek, Nadia Miracle and Brodie Koney. He will be sorely missed by his faithful pal, Buddy, as well as his many life-long friends.

Special friend and brother in Christ, Pastor Rick Kennison will officiate a memorial service celebrating Marv's time on earth on Tuesday March 22, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers his family requests contributions to be made to Adoration Assembly of God, P.O. Box 429, Milan, Ohio 44846.
