Donald "Donny" L. Stewart, 56, of Castalia, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 26, 2016 in his home.
He was born in Akron, Ohio on March 6, 1960.
Donny was a man "full of life" who was always "involved in the party". He loved boating and fishing, golfing, bicycling, and gardening and yard work. He would do anything as long as he could be outdoors, a love that he carried with him through his self-employment. Donny also enjoyed watching UFC, The Price is Right, and the Dallas Cowboys (he was a fan ever since his boyhood days living in Dallas). Most important to Donny, however, was his family. He truly loved being a grandpa, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Donny is survived by his wife, Caryl (Bean) Stewart, whom he married on May 22, 1991; children, Heather (Derek) Siesel, of Sandusky, and James and Ryan Stewart, both of Castalia; grandchildren, Nolan and Landon Siesel; father, Boyce Stewart; sister, Crystal; brothers, Jerry (wife, Lubna), David, Jeff (wife, Mi), and Joel (wife, Bethany); and many nieces and nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol (Kenyon) Stewart.
Friends may call on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 4-7 P.M. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. A funeral service will be on Saturday at 10 A.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Ave., Sandusky. At Donny's request, cremation will follow, and private burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Donny's name to the church.
