Joan M. (Hilson) Kramer, 86, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in Gaymont Nursing Center.
She was born July 10, 1929 in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Albert L. and Madeline E. (Rhinehart) Hilson, and was a lifelong area resident.
Joan was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Norwalk, Ohio, and the Daughters of Isabella, Norwalk, Ohio. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and especially enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren. Joan enjoyed reading and cooking.
She is survived by her children, Gerald and Nancy (Didion) Kramer of Westerville, Ohio, Diane and Michael Wasiniak of Norwalk, Ohio, Thomas Kramer of Fredonia, New York, and Mary and Stephen Bertsch of Baltimore, Ohio, by 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and by her lifelong friend of 81 years, Ruth Ensminger of Norwalk, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F. Kramer in 2009, and by her brother, Larry (Margaret Holman) Hilson.
Friends may call on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m., in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Kenneth Morman will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
