Flora Martha (Pflieger) Miller, 95, of Whitehouse, Ohio, went home to the Lord on, Saturday, April 09, 2016, at Whitehouse Country Manor, Whitehouse, Ohio.
She was born July 1, 1920 in Sherman Township, Ohio, to the late Frank J. and Emma (Rock) Pflieger.
She married William H. Miller on June 4, 1937, in Richmond, Indiana, and they moved to Milwaukee Wisconsin, in August of 1956 when William took a job at Nordberg Mfg. Company, living there until 1979. During the building of their retirement home in New London, Ohio, William died of a heart attack on October 16, 1978. Flora finished and lived in that home. She then lived in Norwalk, Ohio, Toledo, Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio (at Kingston Residence of Perrysburg) and then most recently, in Whitehouse, Ohio (Whitehouse Country Manor), fighting COPD for a number of years.
Flora is survived by her daughter, Nancy J. (John) Brown, of Whitehouse, Ohio, by her son, William S. (Christine) Miller, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, her brother, Edward Pflieger, of Norwalk, Ohio, and her sister, Anne Mae Robinson, of Norwalk, Ohio. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Willian J. (Denisia) Miller, Theresa A. (Jonathan) Dlugi, John W. (Vicki) Brown, Robert E. (Janice) Brown, Penny (Darryl) Heaston, Julie (Scott) Jones, and Brian (Christy) Vander Haaagen, by 18 great grandchildren, and by 6 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Miller, in 1978, by her daughter, Anita M. (Roy) Muir in 1993, by her brother, James L. Pflieger in 1983, by her twin sister, Florence (Robert) Hershiser in 1986, and by her sister, Rose M. LaNier.
Friends may call on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, 38 League St., Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Anthony Recker will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville, Ohio.
