Glenn K. "Smiley" Havice, 83, of Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, April 21, 2016 in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born on May 25, 1932 in Sandusky to the late Graydon and Frances (Puckrin) Havice.
He was employed by the Castalia Police Department from 1953 to 1968, was a Margaretta Schools bus driver for 15 years until 1983, and worked for General Motors for 18 years retiring in 1997.
He was a member of the Castalia Congregational United Church of Christ, the Christian Motorcycle Club, and the Oxford Grange.
He is survived by his children, Marsha Lyons and Eugene (Janet) Lyons, both of Sandusky, Denise Greely, Castalia, OH; grandchildren, Jimmy (Sabrina) Lyons, Ivan (Jen) Lyons, Renee' (Josh) Lyons, Dana (Ryan) Dendinger, Ellen (Ty) Milbrodt, and Chelsea Lyons; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Firm (Kathy) Havice, Sandusky; two nephews and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call on Monday, April 25, 2016, from 4-7 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. B.R. Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Castalia Cemetery.
