Mabel Maxine Church, 79, residing in Huron, went home to be with her family that already departed, early Thursday morning, April 21, 2016 in Admiral's Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation after a lengthy illness.
She was born on May 1, 1936 in Waverly, OH to the late Hobart and Mary (Richards) Mustard.
She graduated from Waverly High School in 1954. She worked at Lawson's for 15 years, at Dairy Mart for numerous years, then at Rite Aid for nine years until retirement.
Maxine enjoyed reading books; mystery, murder, and romance novels being her favorites.
Maxine is survived by her children, Crystal (Gonzalo) Alvarez, Bruce (Jody) Segee, Jeff (Bonnie) Segee, Sr., Jodi (Leo) Vincent, Roger Church, and Lori (Jeff) Davenport; grandchildren, Jeff Segee, Jr., Mike Segee, Erica Vincent, Heather Davenport, Jeff Davenport, Jr., Scott Howard, Mark Alvarez, Nick Alvarez, Ben Alvarez, Shaun Herrin, and Tony Herrin; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Anne McCartney and Carm Mustard; brother-in-law, Arby Church; four nephews; one niece; and numerous cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Church; brother, Nolan Mustard; and sister, Janet Dillard.
Friends may call on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 (Noon) at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Chaplain Jane Ann Clarke will officiate. Per Maxine's wishes, cremation will follow. Private inurnment will take place in Meadow Green Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maxine's name to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
