Marion J. Beese, 84, residing in Sandusky, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Marion was born on August 26, 1931 in Sandusky, OH to the late Benjamin F. and Lillian M. (Ohlemacher) Brownell.
Marion was an inspector at New Departure and retired in 1989 after 18 years of service. She was a volunteer at the Erie County Senior Center, and in her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and taking care of her dog, Megan. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Marion is survived by her two daughters, Jody (Beese) Culley and Freda Beese, both of Sandusky; four sons, Richard Jr, Robert, Dean and Gene Beese, all of Sandusky; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Willowdean Judge; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
In addition to her parents, Marion is preceded in death by her sisters, Muriel Justi, Bettie Mae Likes and Clara Fleming; and brothers, Rolland "Barney" and Fred B. Brownell.
At the request of the family, there will be no services. Burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory in Sandusky is assisting the family with arrangements.
