Minnie Slusher Buchanan, 87, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Monday morning, May 9, 2016 at her residence after a brief illness.
Minnie was born on February 7, 1929 in Pineville, KY to the late Leonard and Malinda (Woolum) Miller.
Minnie was employed at the former Bar Rubber Inc. for over 30 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking and taking care of her family.
Minnie is survived by her daughter, Lillie Louise (George) Martin of FL; son, Lewis C. (Mary Jean) Slusher of Sandusky; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; step-sons, James and Jack Buchanan and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Minnie is preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis Charles Slusher I; second husband, Jack L. Buchanan; grandson, Paul Michael Slusher; sisters, Marah And Ethel Slusher, Destil Broughton and Pauline Hubbard; brothers, Floyd and Evie Miller.
Friends may call on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am at Faith Memorial Church, 1320 E. Strub Rd., Sandusky with Rev. Ken Hiser presiding. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
