John A. Stelle, 73, residing in Sandusky, passed away late Wednesday evening, May 11, 2016 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
John was born on November 23, 1942 in Mount Vernon, IL to the late Noah and Lillie (Patterson) Stelle.
John received his GED through the US Air Force. He was a roll grinder at Stowe-Woodward for over 32 years. John was a member of the American Legion, Erie County Conservation League and the VFW. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing video games, watching football and NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends.
John is survived by his wife, Ann Marie (Edwards) Stelle, whom he married on May 16, 1969. He is also survived by his son, Mark (Belinda) of WA; sister, Imogene Osborn of Sandusky; special niece Louise Kuneman and numerous other nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his sisters, Lila, Helen, Wilma, Bernadine and Colean and brothers, Herman, Arlie, Ronald, Athel and one in infancy.
Private family burial will be held in Meadow Green Memorial Park with Pastor Doug Winner of Trinity United Methodist Church presiding. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
