Goldie Mae Crosby, 83, Nashville, Tennessee., and formerly of Sandusky, transitioned to be with the Lord surrounded by her family, Monday, May 16, 2016, in Alive Hospice, Nashville, TN.
She was born February 28, 1933, in Jackson, Mississippi, to the late James "Benny" Benjamin and Mattie Posey-Haley.
She attended school in the Covington County School System in Collins, Mississippi.
She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter, Lisa (Steve) Caffey, Nashville, TN; sons, Larry (Tigi) Crosby, Saudi Arabia and Anthony (Dee) Crosby, Manassas, VA; six grandchildren, Ashura Crosby, Madelyn Crosby, Miles Crosby, Maya Crosby, Brandon Crosby and Bryant Charleton; and two great grandchildren, Braylie Gooden and Aniyah Crosby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Levernie Crosby, Sr. (married 58 years); son, Levernie Crosby, Jr.; and grandson, Vernie Crosby.
Friends may call on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon in Porter's Memorial C.M.E. Church, 1722 Third Street, Sandusky, OH. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
