Kaylee R. Sowards, 13, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday evening, June 1, 2016 with her loving family by her side.
Kaylee was born on February 26, 2003 in Sandusky, OH to Brian and Suzie (Lunsford) Sowards.
Kaylee was a happy little girl, who enjoyed going to the zoo, car rides and spending time with her sisters and brothers.
In addition to her mom and dad she is survived by her sisters, Kristy, Karrie and Kelsey Stacy; brothers, Kameron and Caleb Sowards; maternal grandmother, Rebecca Lunsford; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Sowards; aunts and uncles, Susan (Don) Missig, Jane (Stan) Curtis, Angela Smith and Ronnie Lunsford Sr.; maternal great-grandmother, Maxine Webster; nieces, Aniyah and Arianna; nephew, Elliot and great aunts, great uncles and other relatives.
Kaylee is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ronald Lunsford; paternal grandfather, Terrence Sowards and her maternal great-grandparents and paternal great-grandparents.
A special thank you to Marsha Franco, who was like another grandmother to Kaylee, and to everyone who has helped with Kaylee's care over the years.
Friends may call on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 10:00 until the time of the funeral services at 12:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky with Pastor Ken Hiser of Faith Memorial Church presiding. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
