Marie M. Hammond, 82, of Bellevue, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011 at The Willows at Bellevue. She was born March 9, 1929 in Chilton, Wisconsin the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Utschig) Salm.
Marie was co-owner of Hammond Stone, a member of the Eagles Aerie 490, Moose Lodge 238, and the Club Amer-ital. She enjoyed big band music.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Franklin Delano “Del” Hammond, whom she married on July 25, 1959 in Chicago, IL; One son, Howard Pritchard of Crete, IL; sister, Armella (Jack) Mangin of Biloxi, MS, and many loyal lifetime friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Esther McHugh.
Friends will be received on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where a funeral service officiated by Fr. Jonathan Wight will begin on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Deyo Cemetery.
