Virginia M. White, 96, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in Gaymont Nursing Center.
She was born October 4, 1919 in Milan, Ohio, to the late Clarence B. and Lydia (Heintz) Bailey.
Virginia was a 1937 graduate of Shaw High School, Cleveland, Ohio. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Norwalk, Ohio, and was a member of the Maple City Garden Club. Virginia was a former employee of Ulman's Department Store, and enjoyed playing cards.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald M. Harris of Norwalk, Ohio, and Rodney A. (Linda) Harris of Norwalk, Ohio.
Virginia is also survived by her grandchildren, Sandra (Robert) Nixon, Pamela (Ernie) Mangold, and Rodney (Michelle) Harris, Jr., and by her great grandchildren, Ethan Harris, Jackson Harris, Jeremy Mangold, Jessica Nixon, Joshua Nixon, and Heidi Mangold, and by a special niece, Peggy Klahn of Norwalk, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Harris in 1975, by her second husband, George White, by her infant son, Ronald Harris, by her brother, Glenn A. Bailey, and by her sisters, Marian Simmons, and Jean Smith.
Friends may call Friday, June 17, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 Noon in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Ann Marshall, Pastor of St. Peter Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will be in McMillen Cemetery, Huron Township, Ohio.
