Rosalie (Klotz) Petersen, 83, of Sandusky, passed away early Saturday morning, June 18, 2016, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on June 5, 1933 in Willard, OH to the late Joseph and Carrie (Risner) Klotz, and attended school in Harrisburg, PA.
She was employed by Bechtel-McLaughlin, where she met her husband of 53 years, Franklin Petersen, Sr., and also worked for Foster Grant until the early 70's.
She was a loving mother to her sons, Frank (Rita) Petersen, Huron and Wayne Petersen, Sandusky, grandson, Jeffrey (Heather) Petersen, Norwalk; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Mkovik, Astchin, Xavier, and Emilyn; brothers, Edward Klotz and Robert Klotz, both of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Michael Petersen; and a brother, Joseph Klotz.
Friends may call on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, from 11:30 A.M. until time of funeral services at 1 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. David Flack will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
