Rosie Lee (Curley) Tucker, 87, of Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 30, 2016, in the Lutheran Memorial Home.
She was born in Splashdown, VA on September 26, 1928, to the late James and Mattie (Knox) Curley.
The family moved to Harlan, KY while Rosie was a small child. She married Hubert Tucker, Sr. in 1946 and they made their way north to Port Clinton, OH in 1955. Rosie worked as a supervisor in housekeeping at Cedar Point for a decade and was also a homemaker.
She is survived by daughters, Rosetta (Tucker) Lockett, Vivian Tucker, Hydia Mae Tucker, and Jane (Tucker) Mitchell, all of Sandusky, and Helen (Tucker) Love, St. Louis, MO; sons, Jerome (Christine) Tucker, Sr., Alex Tucker, Hubert Tucker, Jr., and Bruce Tucker all of Sandusky; sisters, Augusta Curley, Mazalene (Curley) Benner, and Della (Curley) Walker; twenty grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Tucker, Sr.; parents; daughter, Brenda Lee Tucker; son, Tyrus Tucker; brothers, Robert, Lee, James, and William; sisters, Roberta Curley, Elizabeth (Curley) Carnes, and Gladys (Curley) Young;
Friends may call on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 5 P.M. until time of funeral services at 7 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory.
