Theodore "Ted" Neidler, age 79, of Whites Landing, passed away Tuesday morning at the Lutheran Memorial Home, Sandusky.

He was born June 10, 1932 in Sandusky and attended Margaretta High School.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of Vickery United Methodist Church.  Ted worked for the Iron Workers Local 17, and was a commercial fisherman.  He was an avid sportsman, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He loved playing cards, playing every Tuesday at 9:30, and also played dartball for many years.

He is survived by three daughters Patti (Jack) Miller, Beth (Dana) Osborne, and Teresa (Bill) Miller; three sons Rich Neidler, Denis Neidler, and Jerry (Jackie) Neidler; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a sister and brother.

Ted was preceded in death by his wife Doris in 2008; parents Arthur and Jeanette (Donaldson) Neidler; two infant sons Charles and Theodore Jr.; three sisters; and one brother.

Friends may call from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Thursday at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM.  The Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will  officiate.  Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
