Elizabeth F. "Betsy" Coffman, 75, of Sandusky passed away early Tuesday morning, July 12, 2016 in The Meadows at Osborn Park following a lengthy illness.
She was born September 2, 1940 in Sandusky and was a graduate of Sandusky High School.
Betsy was an LPN at the former Memorial Hospital in the pediatric department. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and volunteering at churches and for charitable organizations. She also loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren and Pat Cat. She was a member of the former Resurrection Lutheran Church, Sandusky.
She is survived by her children, Susan (Doug) Coffman Wolbert, Dale (Ellen) Coffman, Jr. and Donald (Teresa) Coffman all of Sandusky; five grandchildren, Thomas (Marnie Riddle) Colvin, Kelli (Brandon) Lottman, Ian, Dylan and Oliviana Coffman; three sisters, Ruth (Lou) Foster of Valparaiso, Indiana, Becky (Tony) Gast of Sandusky and Marilyn Hill of Overgaard, Arizona; one sister in law, Jeanne Aust of Toledo; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2013, Dale R. Coffman, Sr., whom she married on March 24, 1959; one brother, James Aust; her parents, Vada and Ralph Bullock and Henry (Marian) Aust.
Friends may call Friday, July 15, 2016 from 4-7:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, where funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10:30 AM. The Rev. Kathleen F. Shuck will officiate. Burial will be in the Perkins Cemetery.
