Doris Jean McBride, 86, Sandusky, died on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at her residence.
She was born on May 31, 1925 in Ada, OH.
Doris retired from the Ada school system.
She was a member of Ada First Baptist Church. Doris loved gardening, fishing, crafts, and spending time with her family and friends at the cottage in Michigan.
She is survived by her sons, Randy (Kathy) McBride, Pemberville, OH, Jim (Sue) McBride, Castalia, OH, Jeff (Keely) McBride, Dublin, OH, and Dwight (Elizabeth) McBride, Newark, OH; grandchildren, Bradley McBride, Daniel McBride, Andrew McBride, Kate McBride, Corey Evert, Casey Evert, Lucas McBride, and Courtney (Geoff) Guss; great-grandchild, Miriam Rose Guss; sisters, Avanell Brace, Ada, OH, and Cheryl Quay, Lima, OH.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew W. McBride, in 2008; parents, Vynal and Mabel (Rhodes) Kindle; and brothers, Lester and Clair.
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Ada First Baptist Church, W. North St., Ada, OH 45810, or to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870, or to a local hospice service.
