Sandra L. Ward, 69, of Fremont, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 in her son's home in Plymouth, Ohio.

She was born July 10, 1947 in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late James and Beulah (Benner) Sanders.

Sandra was raised in Norwalk, Ohio, and moved to Clyde, Ohio, in 1990 from Huron, Ohio. She attended Norwalk High School, and was a former nurse's aide at Gaymont Nursing Center. Sandra enjoyed playing Bingo, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her long-time companion, Harry Hush of Fremont, Ohio, by her children, Donald (Daisy) Ward of Plymouth, Ohio, and Michael Ward of Mansfield, Ohio, 8 grandchildren, Donald III, Ashley, and Tyler Ward, Sloan, Danielle, and Samantha Ward, Adam Hall, and Rionna Ward, 16 great grandchildren, several step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.

Sandra is also survived by her brother, David Sanders of Clyde, Ohio, by her sisters, Joyce Fallett of Columbus, Ohio, Carol Emerick of Norwalk, Ohio, Diane (Woodrow) Skiver of Norwalk, Ohio, and Linda (Oscar) Hayes of Vermillion, Ohio, by her sister in law Ellen Benner of Elyria, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Ward in 1990, by her brothers, Robert Sanders, Eugene Benner, and James Sanders, and by her sister Katherine Jensen.

Friends may call on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Jane-Ann Clarke, Chaplain, of Stein Hospice Service, will officiate. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, Ohio.
