James E. Benedict, 60, of Willoughby, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016.
Jim was born June 24, 1956 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Donald E. and Marjorie A. (Reineck) Benedict.
While Jim lived in various places, the majority of his life was spent in Norwalk which he considered his home. He worked many years in various jobs, primarily in the construction industry. In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, all Cleveland sports, particularly the Indians, and spending time with his family.
Jim is survived by his sister, Many Ann (Norm) Denger of South Amherst, Ohio, by his brother, David Benedict of Mentor, Ohio, by his sister, Donna Johnson of Orange City, Florida, and by six nieces and nephews, and 6 great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Msgr. Kenneth Morman will officiate. Interment will be in Milan Cemetery.
