Anna Jean (Dillinger) Wagner, 92, residing in Sandusky, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord Friday, September 2, 2016 at Providence Care Centers after a lengthy illness.
Anna Jean was born on February 23, 1924 in Bellevue, OH to the late Bonn and Louise Dillinger.
Anna Jean was a 1941 graduate from Bellevue High School. She was employed at Philco Corporation, and beginning with Dr. Ernst enjoyed owning her own private cleaning service. Anna Jean was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, the Orioles Club and the former IAB Club. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, interior decorating, and she especially enjoyed being a wife and mother.
Anna Jean is survived by her daughter, Victoria A. Wagner (Karen) of Sandusky; sons, Jeff C. (Caryn) Wagner of Sandusky and Scott E. (Tracey Holsapple) Wagner of Duneden, FL; grandchildren, Derrek J. and Betsy L. Wagner and Ashley and Sheyden Ahlers; great-grandchildren, Sicily, Ella and Akye; daughter-in-law, Lucinda Barnes; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Anna Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Charles O. Wagner; daughter, Debra Lynn Wagner; sister, Marie Tarris; and brothers, Robert, Ted and Junior Dillinger.
Friends may call on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky with Father Joe Steinbauer presiding. Entombment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky, OH.
