Bevy E. Fish, age 68, of Castalia, died Friday night, June 24, 2011, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born November, 13, 1942, in Toledo, OH, and graduated from Anthony Wayne High School, White House, OH, in 1960. She was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ of Castalia, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Bevy worked as a teachers' aide for Margaretta High School from the late 70's into the 80's before working for North Point Educational Service Center, Sandusky, retiring after 32 years. She was a member of the Laureate Gamma Psi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, Castalia, for 37 years.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Laverne Fish, whom she married on April 10, 1965; daughter Sharlene (special one Jacob Kipfer) Fish, Bloomington, IN; son Don (Susan) Fish, Oak Harbor; three grandsons Darek (fiancé Yazmin Mendoza) Fish, Hoover, OH, Chad Fish, Oak Harbor, and Nicholas Fish and his service dog Liese, Oak Harbor; two sisters Sheryl Walbolt and Kathy (Bill) Stamm, Maumee; and several nieces and nephews.
Bevy was preceded in death by her parents Don and Ruby (Armbruster) Beers; sister Robin Beers; and brother in-law Jim Walbolt.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM Monday, June 27, 2011, at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Congregational U.C.C., 205 Main St., Castalia. Pastor John Paputza will officiate. Burial will be in Parkhurst Cemetery.
