Elpidio E. Loredo, 88, of Castalia passed away peacefully Friday evening, October 21, 2016 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.
Elpidio was born on March 3, 1928 in Mexico to the late Hemerjilo and Atanasia Espinoza.
Elpidio retired from New Departure after 41 years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed golf, as he and Rafeal Espinoza; sister, Maria J. Contreras and many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
In addition to his parents, Elpidio is preceded in death played in 3 local leagues and watching baseball, especially the Cleveland Indians.
Elpidio is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Susie M. (Maldonado) Loredo of Castalia; son, Elpidio "Skip" Loredo of Sandusky; 2 brothers, Marselino by 3 brothers, Pedro, Leonardo, and Jose Espinoza and sister, Delia Muniz.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 9:30 am before a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Avenue, Sandusky with Father Joe Steinbauer. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
