Missionary Jacqueline “Jackie” (Clinton) Franks, 43, Sandusky, made a peaceful transition from labor to reward on Thursday, June 30, 2011.
She was born on January 23, 1968 in Sandusky to Mary Bell Clinton and William Arrington. Jackie was a 1987 graduate of Sandusky High School, and attended BGSU Firelands Campus.
Jackie was introduced to Jesus through her grandmother, Catherine Arrington. She began attending Robinson Temple Church at an early age and then Greater New Life Church of Deliverance in the auspices of Bishop Edward and Co-Pastor, Beverly Banks. Jackie served in several capacities in the church, Pastor’s Aide, Director of Religious Education for Vacation Bible School, Purity Class instructor, Sunday school teacher, drill team member, usher board member, adjutant, and sang in the Pastor’s choir. She loved teaching children the word of God, and loved to travel with her pastors and church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, children, Sherika Harvey, Sharquia Paden and Kashawn Paden; father; siblings, LaVonda (Tommy) Brown, Jeanne (Sean) Cunningham, Antwan Clinton, William Arrington, Jr., Marvin Arrington, Derrick Arrington, and Michele Amison; grandchildren, Anira Harvey and Mary Bell Harvey; aunts and uncles, Prophetess Dorothy Lofties, Elder Jeanie (Toby) McKinney, Christine Lately, Josephine Clinton, Cathy Young, Willene Arrington, Tommy Lee (Andrea) Clinton, David Lee Clinton, Fredrick (Pat) Clinton, Rodney Arrington, and special aunt, Mother Thelma Clinton; godchildren, Cache Hamilton, Shardae Banks, Shiquita Clinton, Jalena Fuller, and Allen Michael Russell; a host of nieces, nephews, god-sisters, god-brothers, special friends, Tashonya Clinton, Janet Porter, Savannah Glen; caregiver, Sister Angel Pope; the entire Greater New Life Church family, and estranged husband, John Lee Franks.
She was preceded in death by her mother; aunts, Annette Clinton and Martha Clinton; uncles, Elder Jimmy Dale and Frank Clinton; grandparents, Catherine Arrington, Emma Arrington, and James Clinton.
Friends may call on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. (Noon) in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Paster Beverly Banks will provide the eulogy. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky is assisting with arrangements.
