Josephine L. (Santoro) LaGrass, 95, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 30, 2016 at The Meadows at Osborn Park.
Josephine was born on December 1, 1920 in Bellevue, OH to the late Anthony and Mary (Barbera) Santoro.
Josephine was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, and held the record for being the longest reigning president of the former IAB Club Ladies Auxiliary. She loved golfing, bowling, ceramics, painting, and playing pinochle with her best friends, Joe and Betty Palazzo.
Josephine is survived by her daughters, Joanne Scally and Paula (Jeff Hessler) LaGrass both of Sandusky; grandchildren, Laura Santoro, James (Deborah) Scally III, Angela (Christopher) Walton, Linda Sebolt, Teresa (Gary White) Scally, Karl-Heinz Riedel IV and Amy (Paul) Hayfield; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Josephine is preceded in death by her husband, Frank X. LaGrass in 2011; daughter, Francine LaGrass Todd; sisters, Sarah, Theresa and Rosie and brothers, Russell, Frank, Charlie (Sid) and Tony.
Friends may call on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Ave., Sandusky with Father Matt Frisbee presiding. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
