Robert L. Cotter, 71, a resident of the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, died Friday evening, July 15, 2011 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born May 28, 1940 in Browning, Missouri and had attended the Bob Jones University for two years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Bob was employed as a school custodian in Wakeman, OH., prior to his retirement. He was a member of NorthPointe Baptist Church, Sandusky and had attended the New London Baptist Church with his family.
He is survived by one daughter: Angela Mulligan of Romulus, MI., two sons: Daniel Cotter of Romulus, MI. and Samuel Cotter of Coldwater, MI., two grandchildren: Tyler Mulligan of Romulus, MI, Rachel Jayska of Wayne /Westland, MI., two sisters: Norma McConnell, Noami Hicks, both of New London, OH., three brothers: Luther Cotter of Wichita Falls, TX., Albert Cotter of Atwater, CA., and Carl Cotter of Kettering, OH., nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Verl & Lillian (Spencer) Cotter.
Friends may call from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the NorthPointe Baptist Church, 3702 Hayes Avenue, Sandusky, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Pastor Wally Gilbert will officiate. Burial will be in the Ohio Veterans Home Cemetery, Sandusky. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky or to the NorthPointe Baptist Church.
