Betty Jane "Betts" (Maschari) Lorenz, 87, of Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Vista Care Center of Milan after a lengthy illness.
Betty Jane was born on December 9, 1929 in Sandusky, OH to the late Charles and Phyllis (Brennen) Maschari.
Betts was a 1947 graduate from Sandusky High School. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the AMVETS Post 29 and the VFW Post 2529. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and playing golf.
Betts is survived by her sons, Randy (Ann) Lorenz of Sandusky and Charles "Chuck" (Janet) Lorenz of Memphis, TN; 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Betts is preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Dick" Lorenz in 2015; sister, Celeste Canino; brother, John Maschari and a brother in infancy.
Private family services will take place with entombment in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
