Lois A. (Burton) Wolshuck, 78, of Sandusky, passed away on Saturday morning, February 4, 2017 in Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.

She was born on March 21, 1938 in Sandusky to the late Paul and Alice (McGeachie) Burton. A 1956 graduate of Sandusky High School.

Lois worked for 10 years for Sandusky City Schools and retired from Citizens Banking Co. after 20 years as an Assistant Vice President.

Lois loved to garden, mow the lawn, shovel the snow, and do anything that could get her outside. She loved nature walks and loved to travel. She and her husband, David, visited 42 of the 50 states, many of them more than once. Family was everything to her, and she will be dearly missed.

Lois is survived by her husband, David A. Wolshuck, whom she married on January 19, 1958; son, John (Debbra) Wolshuck, of Milan; daughter, Jackie (Dan) O'Loughlin, of Sandusky; grandchildren, Nathaniel (Christy) Wolshuck, Ashley O'Loughlin, Andrew O'Loughlin, and Jonathan Wolshuck; great-grandchildren, Abrianna and Vincent Reeves and Alexander and Maxx Wolshuck; half-brother, Don Burton; half-sister, Pamela Johnson; and many other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Burton.

At Lois' request, cremation will take place. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 8 from 4-7 p.m. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lois' name to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
