Ollie V. Zess, 70, of Sandusky, passed away Friday afternoon, February 3, 2017 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Ollie was born on July 16, 1946 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Robert and Virginia Zess.
Ollie graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1964 and retired from building maintenance for Erie County after 25 years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and smoking meats. Ollie had a huge heart for animals and that showed in his special relationship with his little buddy, Roudy. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed pampering and spoiling the loves of his life; his two granddaughters, Meadow and Maci.
Ollie is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Robin (Drossman) Zess; step-son, Jason Muratori of Sandusky; grandchildren, Meadow and Maci; sister, Jan Zess of Port Clinton and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
In addition to his parents, Ollie is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Zess; sisters, Donna Love and Cindy Stinson and nephew Terry Love.
At the request of the family, no services will take place. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory will be assisting the family with arrangements.
