Pamela Ann (Tommas) Ryan, 74, residing in Huron, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
Pamela was born on November 13, 1942 in Sandusky, OH to the late Ralph P. and Rose M. (Parker) Tommas.
Pamela graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School. She was employed with Firelands Regional Medical Center for 35 years retiring as a registered nursing supervisor and patient advocate. Pamela was a 24 year member of AA. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, volunteering, visiting casinos and playing the slot machines. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family and taking care of Scooby.
Pamela is survived by her daughters, Pamela Heim Klodnick and Peggy R. Heim both of Sandusky; grandchildren, Mathew (Tori) Porter, Michelle (Bob) Hutchinson and Allison Wittmer; great-grandchildren, Bob Hutchinson III, Hunter and Savannah Porter, and baby girl, McKenzie Hutchinson; sisters, Connie Popke of Huron and Wendy (Duane) Tommas-Dolick of Thorntown, IN; brother-in-law, Tom Laughlin and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Pamela is preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Laughlin and brother, Ralph "Bud" L. Tommas.
Friends may call on Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Friends may also call on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 10:00 am in the funeral home until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am. Pastor Ken Hiser of Faith Memorial Church will officiate.
