Barbara J. Shellhorn, 83, Sandusky, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, in Providence Care Center.
She was born on July 28, 1927 in Marion, OH.
She was employed by Fremont Container.
Barbara loved bird watching, garden plants, and the Cleveland Indians.
She is survived by her daughter, Becky (Tom) Capucini, Sandusky; grandchildren, Melissa (David) Tackett, Rebecca Stepp, and Amber (Rick) Ramos; great-grandchildren, Cody Newsome, Shaylynn Newsome, and Hayley Newsome; caregiver and friend, Tracy Chong, and a special thanks to Carol Wheeler and Catholic Charities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray “Ike” Shellhorn in 2010; parents, Ivan and Mary Ellen (Vanwey) Peterman, daughter, Cheri Stepp; grandson, Robbie Stepp; great-granddaughter, Madelyn Tackett; and brothers, Franklin Peterman and Bob Peterman.
There will be no visitation. Private family services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
