Evelyn Missione, 93, residing in Sandusky, passed away Tuesday evening, February 21, 2017 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
Evelyn was born on May 7, 1923 in Sandusky, OH to the late August and Elvira (Gentile) Missione.
Evelyn was a 1941 graduate of Sandusky High School. She had been employed by the Ford Motor Company as an accountant. After moving to Florida, she worked at the Boca Raton Resort until her retirement in 2003. Evelyn was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, reading, shopping for clothes and spending time with her family and friends.
Evelyn is survived by her two sisters, Mary (Jim) Fosco of Sandusky and Ann Lococo of Huron and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by three sisters, Josephine Quilter, Minnie Straziuso and Rose Olds and brother, Gake Missione.
Private family burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
