Valerie Ann O'Brien, 48, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer.
She was born March 22, 1968 in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late John H. and Carol E. (Ball) Jacobs, and was a lifelong area resident.
Valerie was a 1987 graduate of Norwalk High School, and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She was a former employee of Apple's Grocery Store, Huron County Public Defender's Office, and also worked for the Huron County Adult Probation Department. Valerie enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding, horses, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Michael P. O'Brien Sr. of Norwalk, Ohio, by her sons, Quentin Xavier "Mr. Q" O'Brien and Jacob Trevor "J.T." O'Brien at home, and by her step-sons, Michael Patrick O'Brien Jr., and Nathaniel Wade O'Brien, both of Norwalk, Ohio.
Valerie is also survived by her sisters, Dawn M. Olvera of Elyria, Ohio, and Mary Ann Petry of Norwalk, Ohio.
Friends may call on Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
