Glenyth Marie (Cooper) Miller, 84, of Sandusky, passed away in her lovely home surrounded by family members late Tuesday evening, July 26, 2011.

She was born March 11, 1927 in Sandusky and was a 1945 graduate of Sandusky High School. Glenyth was an Ohio Bell Operator for several years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Sandusky, past member of: Sandusky Yacht Club, Rockwell Springs Trout Club, and had just received notification of her 50th year of membership in the Order of Eastern Stars. Glenyth was an avid reader of books and a Den Mother while both of her sons went on to become Eagle Scouts.

She is survived by two sons: Donald D. Miller, II and his wife, Laurel, grandsons: David & Daniel Miller of Westerville, OH., Dale H. Miller and his wife, Teresita, who was also her loving caregiver, of Sandusky, granddaughter: Leah M. Miller and two great granddaughters, one sister: Anne (Cooper) Fischer of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Dr. Donald D. Miller, DDS in 1990, her parents: James & Vera (Schneider) Cooper.

A private graveside service will be held for the family members on Monday, August 1, 2011 in the Oakland Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. The Rev. Robert Machovec will officiate.

A special thanks to Ginny who was always there for Mom when she needed her. A heartfelt thank you to the loving and caring Physicians, Case Managers, Continuous Care Nurses, Social Workers and State Tested Nursing Assistants and the Stein Hospice Inpatient Unit workers and volunteers at Stein Hospice who allowed our family to keep Mom’s wish to stay comfortable and remain at home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 214 E. Jefferson Street, Sandusky, Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky or to the donor’s favorite charity.
