Ronald Tate Oliver Sr., 72, residing in Berlin Heights, passed away early Friday morning, February 24, 2017 at his home after a brief illness.
Ronald was born on October 11, 1944 in Cleveland, OH to the late Ray and LaVarah (Lindsay) Oliver.
Ronald was a graduate from Lincoln High School in Cleveland. He is the former owner of Oliver's Twist Ice Cream Store and Oliver's Pub & Grill, and was currently the owner of Oliver's Hair Salon. In his spare time, he loved to go camping, fishing, 4-wheeling and visit Tennessee.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 50 years, Loretta "Trudy" (Tolliver) Oliver, whom he married on January 28, 1967. He is also survived by his two sons, Ronald Oliver Jr. and James Oliver both of Berlin Heights; grandchildren, Lexie, Jessica, Emleigh and Hannah Oliver, Rachel Yoder and Ciara Bravard; sister, Deb Williams; brothers, Chris Oliver, and Paul and Phil Waller and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his two brothers, Jeff and Roger Oliver.
Friends may call on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 10:30 am. Pastor Cody Goff of Firelands Grace Church will officiate. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
