Cheryl L. Holmes, 58, residing in Bellevue, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born on April 26, 1958 in Sandusky and was a 1976 graduate of Edison High School. Cheryl was a member of The Chapel, Sandusky and Norwalk, and her hobbies included crafting, spoiling her grandchildren, camping and vacationing.
She has been an active member of the Huron Eagles since 2006. Cheryl has been the President of the Women's Auxiliary for the past two years. She was very passionate about being a part of the charity work done through the Eagles. Last year her charity was Safe Harbour, and she has been involved in other charities dear to her heart.
She was survived by her husband, David Holmes; children, Christopher ( Renee') Dennis, Lora (Allen) Cordle, Ryan (Connie) Dennis; mother, Bette L. Gadd; sisters, Kimberly Gadd and Tami (Randy) Barker, and brothers, Gregory and Jeffrey Gadd. Three granddaughters, Mackenzie, Makayleigh, and Peyton. Five grandsons, Logan, Trenten, Dakota, Alden, and Dalton, nieces and nephews, along with her three dogs.
She was preceded in death by her father, William H. Gadd, and in-laws, Fred and Geraldine Holmes.
A memorial service will be held at the Huron Eagles, 2902 Cleveland Road, West, Huron, Ohio 44839, on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.
