Barbara Ann (Wymer) Knackstedt, 72, residing in Norwalk, passed away early Sunday morning, March 5, 2017 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
Barbara was born on November 4, 1944 in Mansfield, OH to the late Robert Wymer.
Barbara was a 1962 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. She was employed as an operating room technician at various hospitals for over 40 years. Barbara had an enthusiasm for group pool therapy and she enjoyed picnics at the lake, gardening, bowling, crochet, cooking and her greatest joy, spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her son, David (Sara) Knackstedt of Norwalk; grandchildren, Kathryn and Andrew; sister, Kathy (Karl) Schwechheimer of Crestline; OH and other relatives.
In addition to her father, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, William G. Knackstedt and brother, Denny Wymer.
Private family services will be held. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
