Elizabeth A. "Libby" Voltz Burre, 87, residing in Vermilion, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, surrounded by her children after a brief illness.
She was born in Chillicothe, OH on December 4, 1929 to the late Ralph and Martha Ross.
She was employed by Cornell's in Huron, and was a bar manager for the V.F.W. and American Legion in Vermilion, Amvets in Sandusky, and also tended bar for the V.F.W. in Sandusky.
Libby was Past District President for the V.F.W. Post, Sandusky, life member of the V.F.W. Post, Vermilion, she loved cooking, catering, gardening, and traveling. Spending time with her family and grandchildren was very important to her, she was loved by all.
She is survived by her children, Ralph (Freda) Voltz, Sandusky, Susan Voltz Bunner, Anderson, IN, and Kim Voltz Kusser, Norwalk, OH; grandchildren, Jessica, R.J., Lindsey, and Chris; step granddaughter, Errin; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Orrin, Wyatt, Gage, Ariah, and Jase; and sister, Sharon (Paul) Dawson, Beaver Creek, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Jackie White, Mary Griffith, and Virginia Michaels.
Friends may call on Saturday, March 18, 2017, from 3 P.M. until time of funeral services at 5 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
