Grace Evelyn (Sloan) Bauman, 91, residing in Sandusky, passed away Sunday morning, March 12, 2017 at her home after a brief illness.
Grace was born on November 12, 1925 in Detroit, MI to the late Harold and Catherine (Breyman) Sloan.
Grace was a 1944 graduate of Sandusky High School. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was active in the Trinity Troopers, a charter member of the Sod Buster Garden Club, and a former member of the Pythian Sisters. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, gardening and traveling with her husband, Neil.
Grace is survived by her children, Lori (Gary) Fisher of Clyde, Ohio and David L. Bauman of Sandusky, Ohio; two grandchildren, Todd (Tiffany) Fisher and Brad (Emily) Fisher; four great-grandchildren, Maya, Mason, Koral and Eli; sisters, Beannie Smith and Carol Lauro; brother, Ralph Sloan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Grace is preceded in death by her husband, Neil Bauman; brother, Harold Sloan and a brother in infancy.
Private family funeral services will be held and conducted in the Groff Funeral Home and Crematory 1607 E. Perkins Ave. Sandusky, Ohio 44870. The Pastor Doug Winner will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
