Mary L. (Jankowiak) Garvin, 87, residing in Sandusky, passed away late Tuesday evening, March 14, 2017 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mary was born on July 18, 1929 to the late John and Mabel (Garrett) Jankowiak.
Mary was a 1947 graduate from Fremont Ross High School. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Thomas Garvin. She is also survived by her daughter, Mona (William Jr.) Woodruff of Burlington, KY; son, Todd Garvin of MA; grandchildren, Cory (Amy) Woodruff, Jesiah Woodruff and Alexandra "Alex" Woodruff; cousin, Marlene Morrison and many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday, March 17 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, March 18 at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
