Thomas "Mike" Bealer, 75, of Bellevue, passed away Tuesday morning, March 14, 2017, in Bellevue Hospital, after a courageous battle with chronic lung disease.
He was born in Wellington, OH on September 19, 1941, and was a star athlete at Wellington High School graduating in 1960.
Mike served in the U.S. Navy for 8 years.
He was a professional truck driver for 37 years.
He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 2529, Sandusky, and the American Legion Post 83, Sandusky. Mike was an avid sports fan and loved to play golf. He also enjoyed getting together with family and friends to sing karaoke. Mike cherished most of his time with his family.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ethel (Neville) Bealer; son, Lennie Bealer, Bellevue; granddaughter, Miranda Michele, Fremont, OH; three brothers; a sister; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sandford "Jim" and Ollievine "Polly" Bealer; brother, John; and sister, Ellen.
At his request there will be no visitation. Cremation will take place and burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH, with full military honors. A Celebration of his Life will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
