Tempie Jean Keaton, 61, residing in Sandusky died Thursday, March 16, 2017, in the Cleveland Clinic, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Silas, AL on July 1, 1955, and was a graduate of Sandusky High School. Her love of people motivated her to pursue a degree in Massotherapy.
Tempie was a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her love of Jehovah showed in her giving and compassionate personality. She enjoyed giving her time to others, and loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and traveling.
Tempie is survived by her husband, Ricky Keaton; children, Herman R. Braggs II and Justin H. Braggs, both of Sandusky; grandchildren, Herman R. Braggs III, Shakayla D. Braggs, Alaiya Braggs, and Justin Braggs Jr.; mother, Claudia Cunningham-Johnson, Sandusky; brothers, Charles, Ricky, Eric, Darnell, Mark (Terri) Johnson; brother-in-law, Robert L. Harvey; sisters, Bessie (Gregory) Seavers, Mary (Arthur) Caffey, Hattie Scott, Cassandra Johnson and Mia Johnson, all of Sandusky; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Johnson; sister, Jeannie M. Harvey; and a brother, Travis Johnson.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, from 6-8 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, at 1 P.M. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 608 King St., Sandusky. Jeff Wright will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
